Student Crime Stoppers:
This program encourages students with information concerning a criminal activity to call 545-8477 (TIPS) anonymously. The program aims to bring students, community and the police together to create a safe and harmonious learning environment. Please visit your School Resource Officer for additional information.
Why School Crime Stoppers?
When you step forward and call 545-8477 (TIPS) you are taking control of your community. Crimes such as bullying, threatening, assault, theft, graffiti, vandalism, pulling fire alarms, weapons, drugs, etc. will be reduced by calling 545-8477 (TIPS). Making that call allows you the opportunity to "report" the information versus "ratting" on somebody. You will never have to identify yourself or testify in court. A cash reward may be issued pending an arrest or successful school conclusion.
School Crime Stoppers is a pro-active program that allows students to remain anonymous when they report a crime witnessed either in or outside school. It gives the caller an alternative to avoid any recognition or retaliation from suspects or contact with police or school officials.
School Crime Stoppers targets students approaching or above 12 years of age, the age of criminal responsibility through video presentations throughout Regina's high schools. For more information on the Regina Student Crime Stoppers or to book a presentation please contact Sgt. Colleen Hall at 777-8610 or 777-6363.
